Women's Volleyball Falls to Olivet Nazarene in Four Sets in CCAC Conference Match
CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team squared off against one of the top teams in the CCAC Conference in Olivet Nazarene University, falling in four sets on Tuesday, November 2 at the Goodman Center. The loss dropped the Lakers overall record to 3-25 and their conference mark to 0-17 on the year.
The Tigers took an early lead in the first set, but the Lakers held tough and came back to take a 17-16 advantage. However, Olivet Nazarene then went on a 5-0 run to regain the lead and go on to win the set 25-19 to take a 1-0 match lead.
In the second set, the Tigers scored the first five points and never looked back, winning 25-15 to go up two sets in the match.
The Lakers turned the tables on the Tigers in the third set, jumping out to a 5-0 lead and building a 10-point margin at 14-4. Olivet Nazarene made a run later in the set, cutting the Roosevelt lead to 18-15, but the home team held strong to win 25-18 and force a fourth set.
Unfortunately, the fourth set was all Tigers, as they raced out to an 8-1 lead and cruised to a 25-14 set win to take the match in four sets.

The Lakers close out the regular season on Thursday, November 4 when they host St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on "Senior Night." The season ending match is scheduled for 7pm at the Goodman Center and the Lakers will honor their senior class in a pre-match ceremony.
