Women's Volleyball Falls to Madonna & Spring Arbor on First Day of the Julie Martin Classic

LIVONIA, Mich. – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team dropped its two matches on the first day of the Julie Martin Memorial Classic on Friday, August 27, losing in straight sets to the hosts Madonna University and in four sets to Spring Arbor University (Mich.).  Freshman Viktoria Marysheva led the team in kills in both matches, tallying 10 and 11 kills respectively.

• The Lakers held the lead halfway through the first set versus Spring Arbor & battled back to within a point on two occasions late in the fourth set before losing the match
