Women's Volleyball Drops CCAC Conference Match to Trinity International in Straight Sets
DEERFIELD, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team dropped a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match in straight sets to Trinity International University on Saturday, March 27 at Van Dixhorn Arena.
The Lakers fell behind 10-3 in the opening set, but fought back to close the deficit to 14-13 and then tied the set up late at 22-22. Unfortunately, the Trojans rallied to score the final three points of the set to take the first stanza 25-22. Trinity International then broke a 6-6 tie in set two with seven consecutive points to take control and win 25-14. The third set was very similar to the second with the Trojans once again breaking a 6-6 tie to take the lead for good and winning 25-15 to sweep the conference match.
