Lakers Fall in CCAC Conference Match to Cardinal Stritch

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team could not keep pace with Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) on Tuesday, March 16, losing the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match in straight sets at the Athletic & Convocation Center.

After dropping the first set, the Lakers held a brief 10-9 lead and were tied with the Wolves at 11-11 in the second set before Cardinal Stritch slowly pulled away to win 25-19 to lead the match 2-0. Roosevelt had a promising start to the third set by taking a 4-1 lead. However, Cardinal Stritch scored the next seven points to jump ahead, but the Lakers came back to even things up at 12-12. Once again, the Wolves went on another run, this time scoring eight consecutive points and went on to win 25-14 to sweep the match.
