Lakers Compete In Chicagoland Championship

ELMHURST, Ill. – Roosevelt participated in the revitalization of the Chicagoland Championship hosted by Elmhurst University in Elmhurst on Friday and Saturday.

Brandon Saavedra paced the Lakers men with a ninth-place finish in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33 minutes and 30.82 seconds. Kieran Cassidy finished 18^th in the javelin with a throw of 127 feet and 7 inches.

On the women's side, Millicent Ghapson finished 18^th in the high jump after clearing 1.41 meters and Alexia Lohman took 18^th in the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet, 11.25 inches.
