Men's and Women's Tennis Fall in Return Home to Olivet Nazarene

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Roosevelt Lakers men's and women's tennis teams returned to their home courts at the XS Tennis Village to test the Olivet Nazarene Tigers this week. The men competed on Tuesday, April 19, falling by a score of 4-1, while the women dropped their match on Wednesday, April 20 by a score of 4-0.

Kerwin Chong was a bright spot for the Lakers on the men's side, winning at the second single spot 6-4, 6-0. The doubles team of Kendrick Chong and Hamza Shaikh also played a hard fought match at two-doubles, losing a tiebreaker 7-2.

On the women's side, The women's team of Maria and Fabiola dominated their women's match 6-0.

NEXT UP

Both the men's and women's tennis team are back at the XS Tennis Village for their final regular season competitions of the year this Saturday, April 23. Both teams will play host to the Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose and first serve is set for 1 pm.
