Lakers Drop CCAC Conference Women's Soccer Opener to 20th Ranked Cardinal Stritch

GLENDALE, Wis. – Roosevelt University opened the CCAC Conference women's soccer season with a 3-0 loss to 20th ranked Cardinal Stritch Univeristy (Wis.) on Tuesday, September 14 at The Bavarian Inn in Glendale, Wis.  The loss evened the Lakers overall record at 3-3 and dropped them to 0-1 in conference play.

The Lakers nearly took the lead early game when Marbella Rodriguez found herself one on one with the Wolves goalkeeper, but her shot went just wide.  Cardinal Stritch then scored two goals within three minutes in the 28th and 31st minute to take a 2-0 half-time lead, and added a third in the 54th minute to take control of the contest.
