Lakers Fall to Campbellsville on Late Goal in Women's Soccer Contest

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker to Campbellsville University (Ky.) by the score of 3-2 on Saturday, August 28 at Morris Field to fall to 0-2 this season.

After falling behind 1-0 in the 13^th minute, the Lakers got goals from Julia Szylke and Gabi Christidis within a two and a half minute span late in the first half to take a 2-1 lead.  RU nearly made it 3-1 early in the second half, but CU goalkeeper Riley Thompson made a great save on an upper corner shot by Paola Macias.  The Tigers tied the game in the 70^th minute and scored the game winner in the 82^nd minute to earn the 3-2 victory.
