SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team had its two-game winning streak snapped in a 4-1 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) loss to Holy Cross College on Tuesday, March 9 at TCU School Field in South Bend, Ind.

The Lakers dominated possession to open the game, but the Saints earned a penalty kick in in the 17th minute and converted to take a 1-0 lead against the run of play. Roosevelt continued to control the first half and were unable to find the back of the net despite outshooting Holy Cross 9-5 in the first 45 minutes.

Two defenses lapses by the Lakers off the kick-off and a corner kick in the first two minutes of the second half enabled Holy Cross extend its lead to 3-0. The Lakers continued to maintain the advantage in possession and Gabi Christidis (SO/Rockford, Ill.) scored her second goal in as many games on a great individual effort in the 66th minute to cut the deficit to 3-1.
