Gabrielle Beggs Selected to CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team in Women's Basketball

CHICAGO – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2021-22 women's basketball postseason awards and Gabrielle Beggs of Roosevelt University was selected to the CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.

Beggs had a strong season, leading the Lakers in scoring with a 14.2 points per game average, ranking her 12th in the CCAC, and she also led the team with a 1.8 steals per game average, ranking her 15th in the conference. 

The sophomore guard was also near the top for the team in free throw percentage and assists, ranking second-best at 80.1% and third with a 2.5 assists per game average.  During the season, Beggs recorded a career-high 28 points in a 95-88 loss to Trinity Christian College, eclipsing her previous high of 27 points set earlier in the year in a 79-72 victory over Lincoln College.
