Softball Sees Win Streak Snapped By No. 21 Saint Xavier On CCAC Opening Day

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Roosevelt University softball team opened its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference slate against 21st-ranked Saint Xavier at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex on Saturday, March 27, with the Lakers having their three-game win streak snapped in a doubleheader loss to the Cougars.

A perfect game by SXU's Allison Golic was the story in game one, which went in favor of the Cougars by a final of 9-0. Roosevelt was within striking distance until the seventh of the opener. In game two, Emily Berni drove in a run, but the Lakers could not do much else offensively during a tough day at the dish in an 11-1 loss.
