DiPaola Named To All-CCAC Second Team

CHICAGO – Roosevelt junior outside hitter Andrea DiPaola was named to the All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference second team, the conference announced Monday.

The Italian led the Lakers this season with 297 kills, averaging 3.58 kills per set, while appearing in all 26 matches this year. DiPaola's .191 hitting percentage ranked second-best among those with at least 100 total attacks, using his powerful attacks to boost the Roosevelt offense. He reached 15 kills in a match on eight occasions, and surpassed 20 kills three times.

"Andrea transferred in and made an impact to our offense right away," Roosevelt head coach Kelly Magliano said. "He works hard and he competes, which makes our team better in every phase. I'm proud the conference recognized him with this honor."

DiPaola is just the second player to earn all-conference honors in a Lakers jersey, joining Shawn McCarthy, who was a second-team selection last season.
