Men's Volleyball Loses to Judson in CCAC Conference Action
CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University men's volleyball team faced tough travel conditions in a winter snowstorm and then squared off against a tough opponent in Judson University, falling in straight sets on Thursday, February 17 at the Lindner Fitness Center. The Lakers are now 0-9 on the year and 0-3 in CCAC Conference play.
The Lakers competed early on in the opening set, leading 2-1 after a Kayan Abdou kill and trailing by a single point at 6-5 moments later. Judson then scored eight consecutive points to take control and went on to win the first set 25-10.
The second set looked promising in the beginning for Roosevelt as the visitors jumped out to a 4-1 advantage. However, the Eagles once again put together a run, this time scoring nine straight points to go ahead 10-4. Judson continued to dominate the stanza, winning 25-13 to take a 2-0 match lead.
Judson built a 5-1 margin to start off the third set and never looked back, leading by as many as 16 points and winning 24-10 to sweep the match.
