Men's Volleyball Drops CCAC Conference Match to Viterbo in Straight Sets

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University men's volleyball team hosted Viterbo University on Sunday, Feb. 21 in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match, falling to the V-Hawks in straight sets at the Athletic & Convocation Center in Arlington Heights, Ill.

In the first set, the Lakers pulled to within two points at 23-21 before falling 25-21 and were even with the V-Hawks at 14-14 in the second set, but Viterbo slowly pulled away to win 25-18 to take a 2-0 match lead. Roosevelt broke a 7-7 tie in the third set and built a 17-12 advantage only to have Viterbo tie the set at 21-21 and vault ahead at 23-21. The Lakers proceeded to fight off two match points before coming back to serve for match point themselves at 25-24, but the V-Hawks scored the next point and went on to win the set 28-26 to sweep the match.
