Men's Soccer Shuts Out St. Ambrose For 2-0 CCAC Win

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University men's soccer team won its second straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest in shutout fashion, blanking visiting St. Ambrose (Iowa) by a final of 2-0 at Morris Field on Tuesday, September 21. 

The Lakers are now 2-2-1 on the year and 2-1-0 in CCAC play. 

Gerardo Nicolas had a foot in both of the Lakers' goals, scoring his first as a collegian with a go-ahead strike in the 33rd minute off a ball from Jonathan Hernandez

Another Hernandez connected with Nicolas for Roosevelt's second goal, as Eduardo Hernandez found the net in the 57th minute thanks to a pass from Nicolas to put the game out of reach. 

Mario Graciano stopped four St. Ambrose shots to register his second clean sheet in four days.
