BENSENVILLE, Ill. – The Roosevelt University ACHA Division I men's hockey team dropped a weekend series to 13th ranked Ohio University, losing 4-2 on Friday, November 19 and 8-4 on Saturday, November 20 at The Edge Ice Arena.  The losses dropped the Lakers overall record to 3-11 and their CSCHL record to 0-8 this season.

Ohio extended its lead to 4-1 with a goal at 1:17 of the third period and held the Lakers off the board for the majority of the stanza.  RU cut the deficit to 4-2 on a Tanner Hallett goal, his fourth of the year, on an assist from Zach Brumm at the 17:43 mark, but the home team was unable to complete the late comeback for the loss.

Ohio scored the first two goals to begin the second game of the series, scoring both goals 10 seconds apart and just over seven minutes into the contest.  The Lakers cut the lead in half on a Josef Martancik goal, his fifth of the year, at 15:23 on assists from Vandervalk and Haller, and the score remained 2-1 at the end of the period.

The second period was all Bobcats, with the visitors outshooting the Lakers 17-5 and finding the back of the net at 14:29 and 19:59 to lead 4-1 at the second intermission.

Roosevelt pulled to within 4-2 just over two minutes into the third period on Martancik's second goal of the game and sixth of the year with Haller and AJ Bailey picking up the assists on the power play goal.  However, Ohio scored three unanswered goals in a three and a half minute span to regain control of the game and lead 7-2.  The Lakers did get goals later in the period from Tim Laskowski and Vandervalk with Bowie Slarks, Martancik, and Cade Swygert earning assists.
