Peluchon Named To NAIA PING All-Region Team
NORMAN, Okla. – Roosevelt freshman Thomas Peluchon was named to the Golf Coaches Association of America's 2024 NAIA PING All-Region Team last week.
Peluchon was one of 15 golfers named to the All-Midwest Region team and was the only Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference golfer honored. The freshman from France won two times this season for the Lakers, romping the field at the NAIA Midwest Invite in September then capturing the Cardinal Classic in April.
He set the program record at TPC Deere Run by shooting 9-under over two rounds to win by nine shots and lead Roosevelt to a third-place finish in September. He then sparked the Lakers to a team title at the Cardinal Classic by shooting 3-under for a one-shot win at the Naperville Country Club in the one-day event.
In addition to his two wins, Peluchon also finished in the top-three on two other occasions, which was good enough to earn him second-team All-CCAC honors.
"Thomas Peluchon has been an exciting player to watch and coach this season," Roosevelt head coach Don Morris said. "Thomas was a valuable asset to our success this season and will be a "must watch" player in seasons to come as we transition into Division II."
