Gutierrez, Peluchon Named To All-CCAC Golf Teams
CHICAGO – Alvaro Pardo Gutierrez and Thomas Peluchon were both named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's all-conference men's golf teams, the league announced Wednesday.
Gutierrez was a first-team selection this year, the second time in his Lakers career he's been named to the first team. The senior from Spain was the 2021 CCAC Freshman of the Year then was a first-team choice in 2022 and a second-team selection last year. This season, Gutierrez finished in the top-10 four times including a pair of top-five finishes. He captured third place at the NAIA Midwest Invite in September then took home fourth at the Windy City Showdown in March. Gutierrez also recorded a hole in one during a round at the Egypt Valley Championship in Michigan back in October.
Peluchon was named to the second team as a freshman after a strong first year in collegiate golf. The Frenchman won two events this season for Roosevelt, taking home medalist honors at the NAIA Midwest Invite at TPC Deere Run as well as the Cardinal Classic hosted by North Central in April. Peluchon set a school record by shooting 9-under at TPC Deere Run over the course of 36 holes then claimed the single-day title in April with a 3-under 69.
The two honorees mark the fourth consecutive year the Lakers have had multiple players on the all-conference team.
