Gutierrez Finishes Fourth, Lakers Place Third As Team

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – The Roosevelt golf team persevered through some injury trouble to finish third at the Cardinal Classic hosted at the Bridges of Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates.

The Lakers played in the two-day combination stroke play and match play event, finding success in both formats. Despite having to forfeit two matches due to injuries, the Lakers still finished third in match play with strong play from their other four golfers. Alvaro Pardo Gutierrez finished fourth as an individual in the stroke play portion with scores of 70 and 76.
