Bio

A Joliet native, Tre Lesley will be in his second season as the Lakers; Associate Head Coach during the 2023-2024 season. In this role, Lesley will act as the Defensive and Recruiting Coordinater for the Lakers.

Prior to joining the staff at Roosevelt, he was at the University of Illinois Chicago for the 2020-21 season as a graduate manager, before being elevated to the team's director of scouting in advance of the 2021-22 season. In his role, Lesley was responsible for film breakdown, junior college and portal recruitment, and analysis of practices and games to help further develop the team on the court.

Before his stint at UIC, Lesley spent the 2019-20 season as an assistant coach at Northeast Community College, helping the program finish the season as the 17th-ranked team in the country. Lesley helped create practice plans, run drills, and conduct individual player workouts and recruiting. Lesley also mentored All-American Deanthony Tipler. The Tigers finished 1st in defensive field goal percentage. A 2019 graduate of Illinois State, Lesley served as a student manager for the Redbirds' men's basketball program for three seasons under Dan Muller. Preceding his time as a manager at ISU, Lesley played junior college basketball at Waubonsee Community College for two years under David Heiss.
