Three Lakers Earn CCAC All-Academic Honors

CHICAGO – Roosevelt University had three men's basketball players named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic team for the winter season, the league announced Tuesday.

It was the first time that graduate transfer Maurice Commander and sophomore guard Julio Montes II have been honored by the conference for their achievements in the classroom. It was the second honor for junior big man Shane Stevensen. 

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at their respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
