Trenton Kyler & Matt Myers Earn CCAC All-Conference Recognition in Men's Basketball
CHICAGO – The 2021-22 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball postseason awards were announced and Trenton Kyler and Matt Myers of Roosevelt University were both honored for their performances this season.
After a breakout freshman season, Trenton Kyler received three different conference accolades, including CCAC Conference Freshman of the Year. The guard also earned CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention and CCAC All-Freshman team honors after leading the Lakers in scoring with a 13.7 points per game average, while also posting a team best 84.1% free-throw percentage and 2.0 steals per game average. The freshman's free-throw percentage was tops in the CCAC and his steals average ranked him sixth in the conference this season.
Matt Myers was also selected to the CCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team to close out his collegiate career. The senior averaged 9.7 points per game this season and led the team in assists with a 2.8 per game average. Myers was also third on the team in rebounding, averaging 3.9 per game, and this is his first CCAC All-Conference selection.
