
Men's Basketball Falls to NCAA Division I Opponent Loyola University
CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University men's basketball team traveled 10 miles north to the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago to take on NCAA Division I opponent Loyola University, losing by the score of 88-49 at the Gentile Arena.
The Ramblers jumped out to a 7-2 lead to begin the game, but the Lakers pulled to within three points at 7-4 on a Justus Mouton layup and at 9-6 on a layup from Matt Myers just under five minutes into the first half. However, Loyola scored the next six points and continued the momentum to lead 44-22 at the half.
Lucas Jordan hit a three-pointer to open the second half for the Lakers, but the Ramblers immediately answered back to take a 50-25 lead just over a minute into the period. Loyola continued to increase its lead in the second half, eventually defeating Roosevelt 88-49.

- This was the first ever meeting between the Lakers & Ramblers
- Loyola defeated Georgia Tech 71-60 & #2 Illinois 71-58 to advance to the NCAA "Sweet 16" in 2021, losing to Oregon State 65-58
