Men's Basketball Wins By Program Record 63 Points in Non-Conference Victory Over Moody Bible
CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University men's basketball team cruised to a 102-39 non-conference victory over Moody Bible Institute on Saturday, November 13 at the Solheim Center. The 63-point win margin was the largest in program history, and it raised the Lakers overall record to 3-1 on the year.
Lucas Jordan set the tone for the RU offense, hitting a three-pointer just 16 seconds into the game to give the visitors the lead for good in the contest. Leading 10-6 just under three minutes in, the Lakers scored the next nine points to begin pulling away, outscoring the Archers 16-2 in a three-minute span to take a 26-8 lead. The Lakers continued their dominance in the first half, building a 60-25 advantage going into the break.
The second half was more of the same, with the Lakers holding the Archers to just 14 second half points while scoring 42 points of their own for the lop-sided 102-309 final score line.
