Bio

Stephen Bourbon will serve as the Running Backs coach in his second season with the Laker football program in 2023 after working with the quarterbacks last season. 

Bourbon comes to Roosevelt after two seasons at Trinity International University, serving in a variety of roles. He served as the Quarterbacks Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, Compliance Liaison and Travel Coordinator. Under the guidance of Coach Bourbon, the Trojans ranked near the top of the NAIA in Passing Yards per game. 

Coach Bourbon spent multiple seasons at St. Charles North High School where he worked with the Tight Ends, which includes a State Runner-Up finish in 2018. 

Bourbon is a 2011 St. Charles High School graduate and earned a degree in News Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois in 2015. 

Coach Bourbon lives in Chicago, Ill, and is happily engaged to his fiancee Gretta.
