Blake Potash returns to Roosevelt as the co-special teams coordinator and defensive line coach for the 2024 season.

The 2016 Roosevelt graduate arrives back in Chicago after spending the 2023 season in Germany as the defensive coordinator of the Hildesheim Invaders in the German Football League. The Invaders were a perfect 10-0 and led the league in sacks, takeaways and defensive scores while also allowing 70 fewer rushing yards per game than the previous year. Potash went to Germany after coaching linebackers at Valdosta State in 2022 where he also assisted with the kickoff and punting units.

Potash began his coaching career as a defensive analyst and later director of analytics at Abilene Christian in Texas from 2016-19, helping the Wildcats improve from the worst defense in the Football Championship Subdivision to a top-30 unit. After leaving Texas, Potash spent two seasons as the recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach at Black Hills State during which he coached freshman safety Doodles Quinones to be the nation's leading freshman tackler.
