Roosevelt Earns 14 All-Academic Honors From MSFA
CHICAGO – Roosevelt's football program had 14 athletes honored as academic all-conference members by the Mid-States Football Association, the organization announced Thursday.
Headlining the list of recipients are Xavier Alvarez and Corties Draper, both of whom earned the honor for the third time in their careers. Tyler Tenner, Alex Tran and Kha'nari Williams all took home their second accolade for their success in the classroom.
Five sophomores were recognized in their first year of eligibility: Jack Garfield, Jaylen Olokun, Stacey Terry, Diego Vela and Micah Walters. Four upper classmen rounded out the list of Lakers with their first honors: Jacob Biddle, Thomas Curran, Jesus Pacheco and Luke Wilson.
To be included on the All-Academic list, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.25 GPA and be a sophomore or higher.
