Tyler Tenner Named NAIA National & MSFA Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week After Record Setting Five Touchdown Performance
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tyler Tenner of Roosevelt University earned both NAIA National and MSFA Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week honors after a record setting performance versus Trinity International University on Saturday, October 15.
The junior running back tied a MSFA record with five rushing touchdowns in the 18th ranked Lakers' 42-14 victory over Trinity International in a MSFA Midwest League contest. The five touchdowns were also a new RU program record and Tenner rushed for a career-high 220 yards on 25 carries for an average of 8.8 yards.
Tenner currently leads the NAIA with 12 rushing touchdowns and is second in scoring with 72 points, while also ranking fourth in the NAIA in rushing yards per game (126 yards) and fifth in total rushing yards (756) this season.
