Ke'von Johnson & Julian Bell Named MSFA Midwest League Offensive & Defensive Players of the Week

CHICAGOKe'von Johnson and Julian Bell of Roosevelt University were named the Mid-States Football Association Midwest League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week respectively for the week ending October 10.

Ke'von Johnson earned MSFA Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week honors after having a career day, rushing for a program record 302 yards on 33 carries for an impressive 9.2 yards per carry.  The junior running back also scored three touchdowns and had a long run of 89 yards in the Lakers 34-17 victory over Missouri Baptist University.  This was Johnson's second MSFA Offensive Player of the Week award this season and third of his career.

Julian Bell was named MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week for his exceptional play in Roosevelt's win over Missouri Baptist.  The junior defensive back made five tackles, had two interceptions, forced a fumble, and broke up two passes in earning his first player of the week honor.
