Baseball Sweeps Road Twinbill At Trinity International

DEERFIELD, Ill. – The Roosevelt University baseball team traveled to TIU Baseball Field in Deerfield and took two Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference games from host Trinity International on Tuesday, April 6.

The Lakers held on for a 9-6 win in game one, fueled by Tyler Suchy (JR/Oak Forest, Ill.)'s three-RBI game, before run-ruling the Trojans in game two by a final of 11-1 in seven innings. Tyrone Simpson Jr. (FR/Flossmoor, Ill.) continued his recent surge of hitting, going 4-for-4 in the finale, and Suchy drove in two more runs in support of a strong start by Augie Schlaffer (JR/Homewood, Ill.).
