Baseball Takes Two From Trinity Christian

CRESTWOOD, Ill. – The Roosevelt University baseball team extended its win streak to five games after its second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep in four days, taking two from Trinity Christian at Ozinga Field on Wednesday, March 24.

A three-run third and another complete game from Tom Jager (SR/Oak Forest, Ill.) propelled Roosevelt to a 6-2 decision in the opener.

The Lakers used an even more impressive fourth inning in game two, scoring 10 times in that frame alone to run-rule the Trolls by a final of 12-2. Reigning CCAC Player of the Week Aaron Cook (SR/Hammond, Ind.) drove in two runs, including the decisive run that invoked the conference's 10-run rule after seven innings.
