Roosevelt University Director of Athletics John Jaramillo has announced the addition of Kyle Decker as Assistant Athletic Director to the Lakers athletics staff and leadership group in February 2022. 

"Roosevelt University improved by leaps and bounds with the addition of Kyle Decker to our athletics staff and athletics leadership team," said Jaramillo.  "Kyle is still in the early stages of his professional career, yet he has the resume and accomplishments of a seasoned veteran. He is the total package as far as his collegiate athletics experience and high level of character, and he knows what it takes to get the most out of resources and present a first-class experience for students and staff.  His presence will give critical guidance and education to our staff and enhance the Roosevelt Athletics environment." 

Kyle comes to Roosevelt from NCAA Division I University of Illinois at Chicago, where he served in multiple roles within the athletic department for over 11 years.  He began his career at UIC in 2010 as a graduate assistant and was the manager of ticket operations, serving in that role until 2013 when he became the assistant director of marketing.  

In 2015, he was promoted to the Director of Marketing and remained in that role for two years when he was named an Assistant Athletic Director, focusing on tickets and fan development. A year later, his duties as Assistant Athletic Director transitioned to internal operations and compliance and he worked in this area for two years.  Decker then served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships and Brand Strategy for the final two years of his time with the Flames, overseeing the design and launch of a brand refresh for UIC Athletics.
