Women's Soccer Settles for CCAC Conference Tie After Conceding Late Goal

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team tied Judson University by the score of 1-1 on Saturday, March 20 at Morris Field, marking the second consecutive Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) draw for the Lakers.

After a scoreless and evenly played first half with both teams posting six shots, the Lakers drew first blood in the 53rd minute when Gabi Christidis (SO/Rockford, Ill.) scored off a long, diagonal pass from Ashley Capetillo (SO/Chicago, Ill.). The goal was the fifth of the season for Christidis and the sophomore has now scored in five straight games. RU kept up the pressure in the second half, holding a 9-3 edge in shots, but Judson found the equalizer with just 1:38 left in regulation to force overtime. Both teams had two shots each in overtime but were unable to find the back of the net.
