Lakers Dominate Cardinal Stritch to Earn Important CCAC Conference Victory in Men's Basketball

MILWAUKEE – The Roosevelt University men's basketball team dominated the first half versus Cardinal Stritch University to earn a 66-55 CCAC Conference victory on Saturday, February 12 at Panella Court.  The win raised the Lakers conference record to 12-8 and their overall record to 17-10 this season.

Roosevelt jumped out to a 5-0 lead to begin the game behind an Ajiboye Ayomide layup and a Trenton Kyler three-pointer.  The Lakers kept up the momentum and built upon their advantage the rest of the half, leading 42-27 at the break.

The Lakers pushed their lead to 47-27 to open the second half after another Kyler three-pointer and a Matt Myers layup, and extended their margin to 51-29 on a Justus Mouton layup with 16:42 to play.  Roosevelt maintained a double-digit the rest of the game, winning 66-55 to keep its hopes of a home postseason game alive.
